Our instruction sessions focus on the research skills that will be needed for class assignments. Detailed information about the assignment will help us do the best preparation.

Sessions typically include a 20-25 minute discussion & demonstration of search strategies in our classroom.

Locate articles from magazines, journals, and newspapers using our online databases (ProQuest, InfoTrac, CQ Researcher, etc.)
Evaluate Internet sites
Use search engines & directories effectively when searching for web pages (Google, Librarians' Index to the Internet, etc.)
Access NVCC student email
Set up Remote Access to the Library databases
