Request for Library Instruction

Thank you for requesting a library instruction session! Please note the following:
Our instruction sessions focus on the research skills that will be needed for class assignments. Detailed information about the assignment will help us do the best preparation. Sessions typically include a 20-25 minute discussion & demonstration of search strategies in our classroom. Please submit this request one week in advance of your preferred date.

What would you like for your students to be able to do at the end of the session? (Please select only two--this is the maximum number that can be effectively prestented)
	Use the online catalog to search for books
	Locate articles from magazines, journals, and newspapers using our online databases (ProQuest, InfoTrac, CQ Researcher, etc.)
	Evaluate Internet sites
	Use search engines & directories effectively when searching for web pages (Google, Librarians' Index to the Internet, etc.)
	Access NVCC student email
	Set up Remote Access to the Library databases
