BOMB THREAT

The Manassas Campus Police 24/7 emergency number is (703) 368-3998. We recommend you add this number to your “speed dial.”

Once notification of a Bomb Threat has been made to the Campus Police, they will determine the course of action to be taken. For security reasons these will not be disclosed on this website.

The signal for an evacuation is the fire alarm/flashing lights.
The signal for a shelter in place is the sound of an air raid siren.

If a bomb threat has been announced, everyone should observe the following guidelines:

  • Follow police authority and emergency warden instructions regarding evacuation or shelter in place.
  • Report to the Campus Police about any items that are unusual or out of place.
  • DO NOT touch or move anything that is not yours. DO NOT turn on or off any lights or equipment. Leave everything "as is".

If you receive a threatening call:

  • Use the ‘Bomb Threat Dialogue’.
  • Notify College Police immediately.
  • Meet with and assist Campus Police, if requested.
  • Follow the instructions issued for evacuation or shelter in place.
  • DO NOT use Cellular Phones or Two Way radios.
  • DO NOT activate the fire alarm system to evacuate.
  • DO NOT resume normal activity until cleared by authorized police personnel.
