Can I come to the Math Center if I miss class to have someone "catch me up"?

No. If you miss class, you need to discuss make up work with your instructor. Your instructor may suggest that you view the video lectures (if available) in the Math Center.

Can I come to the Math Center for help in preparing for the math placement test?

No. The Math Center staff does not "coach" you to pass a placement test, since the test is intended to evaluate your long-term knowledge. It would not benefit you to place into a creadit course if your knowledge base is inadequate.

Do I have to make an appointment to get help in the Math Center?

Help is available in the Math Center on a walk-in basis. Priority is given to students in Developmental Math classes. If you need extended help on a regular basis, contact the Counseling Office or check the peer tutor list in the Math Center.
