Students who are currently enrolled in Northern
Virginia Community College may use the Math Center.
No. If you miss class, you need to discuss make
up work with your instructor. Your instructor may suggest that you
view the video lectures (if available) in the Math Center.
No. The Math Center staff does not "coach"
you to pass a placement test, since the test is intended to evaluate
your long-term knowledge. It would not benefit you to place into
a creadit course if your knowledge base is inadequate.
Help is available in the Math Center on a walk-in basis. Priority
is given to students in Developmental Math classes. If you need
extended help on a regular basis, contact the Counseling Office
or check the peer tutor list in the Math Center.
The Math Center has eighteen (18) Pentium computers. Each of
these have the following software available:*
