Career Development Courses

The Loudoun Campus offers a variety of career development courses to fulfill your diverse interests in career planning topics.  These courses meet the requirement for the STD elective.

STD 100 - College Success Skills
This is a one-credit student development course, which emphasizes campus information, college adjustment skills, and academic/career planning.
STD 100 - College Success Skills Syllabus

STD 100 - Job Searching Skills
This is a one-credit student development course, which focuses on self-assessment, exploring careers, resume writing, and job seeking strategies.  This course is designed for individuals preparing to enter the job market.

STD 295 - Topics: in Career Counseling
This is a one-credit student development course, which includes individual assignments focused on self-assessment and career research as well as three appointments with a career counselor.
