Recycling

Recycling means taking a material or product at the end of its functional life and turning it into a usable raw substance to make another product.  Everything from old cell phones to car tires can be recycled.  Environmentally speaking, recycling conserves natural resources, saves fuel, and combats global climate change.

The following websites offer information about these and other recycling issues:

U.S. Environment Protection Agency (EPA) Natural Resources Defense Council
National Recycling Coalition Nuclear Energy Institute
INFORM National Solid Wastes Management Association
American Council on Science and Health The Heritage Foundation
