Patriot Act

 The Justice Department is currently working on the Domestic Security Act, which is an extension of the Patriot Act.  This would give officials the power to increase domestic intelligence-gathering prerogatives. President Bush is urging the renewal of the Patriot Act. He has stated that Congress would put the nation at greater risk of attack if they fail to renew the bill.
