DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR.
(1929 - 1968)


Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., a national hero, a religious leader, civil rights/human rights activist, author, poet, labor activist, organization executive and antiwar activist is recognized throughout the world as  the twentieth century man of all time.  He lived and died so that all people could be free.  The Civil Rights Movement changed society.  Achieving equality for African Americans was his major fight, but he hoped to achieve acceptance for all people regardless of race or nationality.
