Collection Development Calendar Loudoun Campus
The collection development calendar runs on the college fiscal year from July to June. Materials can be recommended at any time; the process of collection development is a continuous process and the selection process is always in progress. Here are some recommendations to ease the process for you.
- For Fall semester, initiate your request by March 15 of the preceding Spring Semester.
- For Spring Semester, initiate your request by October 15 of the preceding fall semester.
- For Summer Semester, initiate your request by January 15 of the preceding Spring Semester
In an emergency we can rush order a limited number of materials. However, since we are a large system and we depend on remote vendors there is no guarantee that the material will arrive in time to meet your objectives.
Materials that are being requested exclusively for classroom instruction should be purchased through department budgets.
Request for materials to be added to the circulating collection should be directed to Dana Roggenbaum
