Elza K. Ritter received her Bachelors and Masters Degrees in pedagogy, chamber music, and piano performance, at the Music Academy named after Gnessin, Moscow, Russia, in 1989, which is one of the premier music institutions in the world. She has performed as a soloist and as an accompanist for the singers of the Bolshoi Theater. Elza Ritter has run a private piano studio since 1984. In 1999, she and her son Tim moved to America to join her husband Steve Ritter. Elza has been an adjunct professor of piano at the Northern Virginia Community College -Loudoun campus since 1999. In 2000, Elza founded The Russian Music Academy of America LLC (RMAOA) for musically gifted students. Mrs. Ritter was invited to be one of several international judges for Piano Competitions in Poland (2006) and Russia (2007). She granted to the top winners of the competitions, international cultural travel awards to perform in the US. One of Elza's students received a prize at the Piano Competition in Ruza (Russia), and was accepted to study in Moscow at the Music Academy named after Gnessin.
