Presents a semester concert. Spring 2007 semester featured selections from The Mikado, staged and in constume. Meets on Loudoun Campus on Tuesday evenings.

Small Sacred Vocal Ensemble
Presents a concert of major choral works accompanied by instruments and professional soloists on the last Sunday of June (Summer Semester), All Saint's Sunday (Fall Semester), and Good Friday Evening (Spring Semester). The presentation is held at St. John's Episcopal Church 6715 Georgetown Pike, McLean, VA. Call (703) 356-4902 for directions. Previous works have included The World of the Sprirt of Benjamin Britten, Requiems by Faure, Mozart and Rutter; Lux Perpetua of Wilcox, Lux Aeterna of Lauridsen, The German Requiem of Brahms, Bach Cantatas, and other choral works.
MUS 137/237 (OPERA CHORUS): “Loudoun Lyric Opera professionals will provide a performance opportunity for both music majors and elective participants. Through the rehearsal process, students are exposed to music literature designed for opera chorus with soprano, alto, tenor, bass ensemble. Emphasis is placed on choral technique and musical interpretation. Loudoun Lyric Opera will strive to provide a performing musical ensemble which will meet the requirements for music majors at NVCC. All members of the opera chorus work toward raising the level of musical awareness and performing capabilities of each individual and the chorus as a whole. They also work at developing habits and disciplines necessary to improve their performance in various situations as part of an on-stage ensemble.”
