COLLEGE-WIDE COURSE CONTENT SUMMARY
ENG 005 Reading Improvement II (5 cr.)

Course Description
Helps students read critically and increase appreciation of reading. Guides students in making inferences, drawing conclusions, detecting relationships between generations and supporting details. Includes interpreting graphic aids and library skills. Lecture 5 hours per week.

General Course Purpose
ENG 005 is designed to help all students to improve their reading skills.

Entry Level Competencies
Admittance to the college or reading skill level equivalent to completion of ENG 04.

Course Objectives
To improve the student's proficiency in reading to a level which would allow the student to function adequately in college level courses.
