ESL Refund Policy
To cancel an English as a Second Language (ESL) course, refer to the current schedule for the last day to request a refund. All refund requests must be made in person or in writing (email to loesl@nvcc.edu).
All refunds are issued as checks from the state of Virginia and will be mailed to your current mailing address. Refunds take approximately 2-3 weeks to be processed. Refund checks will be made payable to the student, regardless of who paid for a course. This is college policy and no exceptions can be made.
If your class is cancelled by the college, a full refund will be issued. A decision on class cancellation is made the day before the class is scheduled to begin. It is very important that we have an accurate daytime phone number where we can reach students to ensure prompt notification concerning class cancellations.

If you are considering a plan from your home country, make sure that it is designed to cover you in the United States. Medical costs in the U.S. are more expensive and plans often do not provide enough coverage. The plan should also cover the cost of flying you home if that is required.

Except in certain cases, the documentation can be no older than three (3) years. All information obtained in the diagnostic and medical reports will be maintained and used in accordance with applicable confidentiality requirements.
