Cisco Networking/CCNA Preparation
In this program, students learn and acquire hands-on skills in a real network environment (not a simulator) to configure, operate, and troubleshoot small and medium-size routed and switched networks and prepare for CCNA certification. Topics include networking essentials; the TCP/IP and OSI models; IP addressing; routing and switching; implementing network security and VPN; internetworking technologies; configuring, operating and troubleshooting IOS devices; extending switched networks with VLANS; managing IP traffic with Access Control Lists (ACL); and wireless networking fundamentals. The following books are recommended for students taking the certificate program: CCNA: Cisco Certified Network Associate Study Guide: Exam 640-802 by Todd Lammie; CCENT/CCNA ICND1 Official Exam Certification Guide, 2nd Edition by Wendell Odom; and CCNA ICND2 Official Exam Certification Guide, 2nd Edition by Wendell Odom. To complete the CISCO Networking Certificate/CCNA Preparation program, participants must complete the required five courses:
