Information Literacy Tutorial

The INFORMATION LITERACY Tutorial is a review and practice test designed to help you review your knowledge of how to use the library and prepare to take the Information Literacy Competency Exam

Please read these directions before starting.

Check with a librarian if you have questions as you do the online review and practice test.

Note - If you are doing this tutorial off-campus you must log on using your NVCC e-mail address to access certain databases. Click on Remote Access for complete directions.

You must complete a module and print the score sheet before you leave the computer. If you leave before clicking on "SUBMIT RESPONSES," you will have to start over.

General:
Good starting point for many topics

  1. You must answer every question in order to get the score sheet to turn in to your instructor.
  2. After completing the questions at the end of Module One:
    • Click on "SUBMIT RESPONSES." Your test will be corrected and scored. If you want to, you can re-do the Module One exercise and questions and then click on "SUBMIT RESPONSES" again to update your answers.
    • Print your final score sheet.
  3. Following the directions for Module One, continue and complete additional modules, if required by your instructor.
