Weekly Spam Update

This is the total e-mail blocked by NVCC SPAM filters each day this week. Currently, we are averaging approximately 600,000 blocked emails each day. If you feel that email you should be receiving has been blocked, please call the IT Help Desk to log a ticket.

Following are some tools that you can use to help reduce Spam and block unwated email:
Spam Management
The Spam Management is Barracuda MS Outlook Plugin (download - IE7 users must click on continue or accept the certificate permanently when the download page opens) for the Windows versions of Outlook. The plugin allows a user to classify messages as spam or not-spam right from their desktop. (Print instructions)
Once installed, the Plugin makes itself available to the user through the toolbar inside MS Outlook. Two icons are provided that performs the necessary classification functionality: A red envelope to classify messages as spam and a green envelope to classify messages as not-spam.
