Configuring Windows Vista for Use on the NOVA Wireless Network

1. Click on “Start” and then “Settings”.

2. Click on Control Panel.

3. Click on View network status and tasks.

4. On the left side, Click on Set up a connection or network and Connect to a network will appear as indicated on Step 5.

 

5. Select Manually connect to a wireless network.

6. In Network Name type: NOVA. In Security Type, select 802.1x, check both boxes and click Next.

 

7. Click on Change connection settings.

8. Click on Security. Make sure that Security type, Encryption type and Network authentication method are setup correctly and click on Settings.

  

Make sure ALL three boxes are checked.

9. Uncheck Validate server certificate, make sure that you have selected Secured password (EAP-NSCHAP v2) as Authentication Method, check only Enable Fast Reconnect and click on Configure.

10. On the Protected EAP Properties page, uncheck Automatically use my Windows logon name and password (and domain if any).

11. On the lower right, click on Additional information is required to connect to NOVA.

12. Enter Credentials: LAN Username and LAN Password   Logon domain is NVSTU
