To meet this mandate, NOVA is using the VCCS recommended MOAT (Managed Ongoing Awareness Tools) application by Awareity for all full time and adjunct credit faculty, full time staff, administrators, P14s and contractors. The training is completed online and a certificate of completion is awarded when all four modules have been successfully completed and the documents in the Northern Virginia Vault have been read. The online database keeps a record of all of those who complete the training and provides the certificate for the employees to keep for their own records.
The MOAT training is required annually and provides faculty, staff, and administrators with valuable information about best practices, policies, and procedures for ensuring secure information systems at NOVA. Our goal is for everyone to enjoy a safe computing environment.
Here is the information you need to get started:
View the attached MOAT User Guide for answers to your questions about everything from logging in and changing passwords to printing your completion certificate. For support questions, please contact email@example.com.
