ArchivesLiving in the Washington, D.C. area offers many unique opportunities. As the nation’s capital, it is home to many well-known U.S. buildings and monuments. These include the U.S. Capitol, the White House, Lincoln Memorial, Jefferson Memorial and many others. Most of these are open to the public and free of charge.

The area is also home to the Smithsonian Museums, including the Air and Space Museum, the Natural History Museum, the National Gallery of Art, and the American Indian Museum. All of these are located on the National Mall. There are open to the public and can be visited for free.

The community around NOVA is made up of people from many countries and cultural backgrounds. There are ethnic restaurants, newspapers and cultural activities representing people from around the world.
