The purpose of the Professional Development function at NOVA is to help every employee of the college to be successful in their work, both individually and collectively.

All employees, from senior executives to the newest part-timers have to grow in their roles and improve their skills and knowledge, their work relationships, their work systems, tools, and processes. That is because as good as we are collectively today will not be enough for the needs of our community next year much less in the years ahead. The fact is, our collective best must continue to get better. The Human Resources Professional Development Unit is leading the pursuit of collective best performance at NOVA.
