To construct a triangle when two sides and the included angle are given.
Given:  A and line segments AB and AC
Required:  To construct a with A and sides AC and AB.
Procedure:

given sides and angle            completed triangle

Use the straightedge tool and lay off a base line AX.
  Construct  YAX = (help)
Use the circle by center + radius command under the construct menu and construct a circle with center A and radius congruent to segment AB.
Label the intersection of this circle and ray AB, point B
Use the circle by center + radius command under the construct menu and construct a circle with center A and radius congruent to segment AC.
Label the intersection of this circle and ray AX, point C.
Use the segment command under the construct menu and construct segment BC.
  ABC is the required .
Proof:
  ABC meets the requirements.
Sketch:   In the sketch below, drag the endpoints to change the length of the given line segments; how does the triangle change?  Do you always have a triangle? What happens when you change the measure of angle A?
