Online Test Preparation

The NVCC Library subscribes to an online database, Learning Express, which contains interactive guides and tests for math, English, SAT, nursing, and other tests.

1. Start at the Library home page (www.nvcc.edu/library).

2. Select:

à “Articles & More.”

à “Interdisciplinary -- Test Preparation”

(from off campus, you will be prompted to log in with your NovaConnect username and password)

3. The first time you use Learning Express, you will need to sign in as a “New User.” You can make up whatever Username and Password you like. After you’ve established an account, you’ll be able to sign in as a “Returning User.”

4. After you sign in, you will see a long list of test preparation materials to choose from. Click on the item you’re interested in.

For most items, you will then need to click on “Practice Now” to continue:

5. Click on Start to begin looking at the practice materials. If you’ve used Learning Express before, you will see a list of ALL the materials you’ve used before:

6. Once you complete a test, click on “Score My Test” to view your results. Learning Express will provide a brief explanation for each answer. If you don’t have time to complete an entire test in one session, you can come back to where you left off in another session.
