Welcome to the Japanese Film Archive for Classroom Use. I created the concept for this web site based on my belief that movies have a place in the foreign language classroom. They are filled with materials suited for language instruction, including authentic interaction among people using verbal and body language as well as cultural implication. Also, movies have a story and context where students tend to retain the vocabulary and phrases better. In this site, you can enjoy a Japanese movie clip along with annotation and additional cultural information.
