vine charcoal---several sticks---soft

compressed charcoal 3 sticks, medium (#3) and soft (#1 and #2)

conte crayons---- brown or sienna and white

kneadable eraser, pink pearl or art gum eraser

drugstore variety felt tip pen

black, washable India ink and artist’s pen holder, assorted nibs OR

inexpensive technical rolling ball black ink pens (pentel, tombo, pilot etc.) in a variety of nib sizes

inexpensive medium sized round water color brush

plastic containers for water

Assortment of 12 or more inexpensive color oil pastels (i.e. cray pas)

scissors or x-acto knife
