Carving Out Your Career

According to Bernard Haldane, who created the Dependable Strengths Exercise, we demonstrate our strengths through our success stories in our lives. These experiences he calls the "Good Experiences". Think of a time in your life when you did something you were:

Good at
Interested in, and
Proud of

Describe the situation in as much detail as possible. What did you do? How long did it last? Write non-stop for 15-20 minutes. Share this with a friend/classmate. The classmate needs to record the strengths demonstrated that he/she hears in the storytelling. There is a list of possible strengths below; there are many more that this.
