According to Bernard Haldane, who created the Dependable Strengths Exercise, we demonstrate our strengths through our success stories in our lives. These experiences he calls the "Good Experiences". Think of a time in your life when you did something you were:
Describe the situation in as much detail as possible. What did you do? How long did it last? Write non-stop for 15-20 minutes. Share this with a friend/classmate. The classmate needs to record the strengths demonstrated that he/she hears in the storytelling. There is a list of possible strengths below; there are many more that this. |
