The Class Scyphozoa
includes jellyfishes and Aurelia. These animals are radially
symmetrical, marine and carnivorous.
These animals float and can swim freely by rhythmic contractions of their bell like bodies. Their food is mainly of small particles suspended in the water. Some larger jellyfishes prey on small invertebrates and fishes using their stinging tentacles.
