Co-Author, Fairfax County, Virginia: A History, a comprehensive, 800-page history of the county published by the Board of Supervisors in 1978.

"Nativism in Virginia in the 1890s", and "A Southern Odyssey", in The Landscape of American History: Essays in Memoriam to Richard W. Griffin (Washington: UPA, 1979).

Co-Author, Northern Virginia Community College: An Oral History, 1965-1985 (NVCC, 1987).

PERSONAL DATA

Born 1949, Atlanta, Georgia. Married to Pamela Corcoran Reed, a graduate of the University of Virginia’s School of Architecture, member of Leesburg’s Board of Architectural Review, and a renovation specialist currently saving our old house in Leesburg's historic district.  Children Nathaniel (23), Emily (21), and Adriane (21).
