Summary:  Loosely based on homers epic poem the oddessy. You follow Everett, Pete and Delmar break out of prision and set out on a magical journey in search of treasure. Or so they think, as they do not end up with the treasure they sought. On the way they run into a clycloptic clansman played by John Goodman, Sirens, and many other hardships some how coming out it more or less setting everything right.

Set:  The sets were above and beyond. They do a great job of sucking you into the feeling of the movie.

Wardrobe: The wardrobe was well thought out and went very well with the movie adding flow.

Entertainment value:  I think this is one of the most enjoyable movies, then again it is a bit long and requireds a decent attention span. I would give it a B as it is quite entertaining, yet you arent hanging off every word or action.

Historical value: This movie I think was very true to the ideas of the time, and showed the hopes of redemption that people felt they needed during the 1930s. Although the events didn't happen they way they did during this movie, the feelings and ideas were very accurate. I would like to give this movie a high grade of a B.

Awards: This movie recieved two Academy Awards Nominations for Best Cinematography and Best Writing.
