        CCNA Program FAQ

    What is the Cisco Networking Academy?

It is a program designed to prepare students to pass the CCNA EXAM (Cisco Certified Network Associate Examination).  

The Program is comprised of a 4-semester sequence of courses.  On the Woodbridge Campus they are offered so that a student can complete two semesters per college semester in two 8-week sessions:

First 8 Weeks               ITN 154 Networking Fundamentals-Cisco

First 8 Weeks               ITN 156 Basic Switching and Routing-Cisco

Second 8 Weeks          ITN 155 Introductory Routing-Cisco

Second 8 Weeks          INT 157 WAN Technologies-Cisco

After completing all four courses, student will register at a Sylvan site to take the CCNA EXAM.

Who may enroll in the program?

Students who are knowledgeable about computers and their operation are eligible to enroll in the program.

The program is not designed for individuals who have already passed the CCNA EXAM.

At this time there is no advanced placement for students; they must take all four courses.

 ITN 156 Basic Switching and Routing-Cisco

What courses are available for students? 

ITN 156 will be taught the first 8 weeks during the Summer on TR 18:00 p.m. - 10:20 p.m. and the first 8 weeks during the Spring on TR 6:30 p.m. - 10:20 p.m. 

INT 157  will be taught the second 8 weeks during the Summer on TR 18:00 p.m. - 10:20 p.m. and the second 8 weeks during the Spring on TR 6:30 p.m. - 10:20 p.m.   

INT 154  & INT 155  will be taught Fall and Spring
