Critical Thinking Across Disciplines
Developing critical thinking skills is often cited as a major goal of education.  Those who have graduated from high school, college, or graduate school have allegedly improved their critical thinking skills, and an institution's ability to do just that is purportedly a measure of the effectiveness of the institution.  In fact, the State Council of Higher Education in Virginia has proposed that each public institution of higher education in Virginia include an assessment of its students' critical thinking skills in future Reports of Institutional Effectiveness.
How can instructors integrate critical thinking more effectively into their courses?  This module has been designed to facilitate the integration of critical thinking into courses of various disciplines.
