It must be typed double-spaced, have a descriptive title (not simply "Lab Report"), and have the section headings indicated below. See the Appendix of your Study Guide for additional information.

Descriptive Title

Results

Include (1) data tables, (2) graphs, either done in pencil on real graph paper or generated by a computer, and (3) a brief statement in words, with no interpretation, of what the data show.

Discussion and Conclusion

Interpret and discuss the results, including your reasoning in each case, in terms of evolutionary theory. Be sure to discuss the differences between the two trials and their significance. Spend most of this section explaining how this simulation did or did not support Darwin's idea of evolution by natural selection, rather than talking in terms of paper chips and cloth. Also discuss your level of confidence in the results in terms of the deviations from expected results (your hypotheses will be on the data sheets) and the accuracy of the methods used. Suggest improvements to the methods or procedures that would make you more certain of your results. You are welcome to speculate on the possible reasons for any deviations or on what might happen in a different situation.

Finally, state or restate your conclusions.
