Welcome to Consumer Economics!

couple happily shopping Today's consumers operate in a much more complex marketplace than that of Adam Smith, founder of modern economics who argued that consumers - not kings - should be rulers. He described this phenomenon as "consumer sovereignty."

In this site you will be introduced to many timely topics. The underlying goal is to make you a more savvy consumer, and hopefully better prepared to navigate the often complicated maze of financial decisions. It does not matter where you begin or end because each topic will have its own "learning unit."

Furthermore, ECO-110 - Consumer Economics - is a three-credit course offered by Northern Virginia Community College, Alexandria Campus. It is designed to give you exposure to the real-life decisions you will face as you exit high school, and beyond. If you would like to enroll, or have any general questions, please contact Kaya Ford.
