July 19. Took playing test. Discussed key signatures, and Tonic, subdominant and dominant chords, demonstrated use of pedals. Homework: unit 8 (major only) and 9. Continue practicing repertoire pieces, and use technical studies for warmups.
July 12. Playing test next week: play one of pg 27, 28, or 31. Do unit 6 through pg 23.
July 5. Had playing test. Went over sharps and flats, intervals, and half and whole steps. Practiced page 23 (1 & 2), and pg 26 (#1). Homework: do units 3,4, and 5; workbook check next week. Repertoire pieces to be working on: 19, 21, 24, 25.
June 28. Playing test next week, play 2 pieces, page 13, other piece is any other repertoire piece (suggested: pg. 15, 19, 21). Please also do the first 3 pages of unit 2 in workbook.
June 21. Quiz next week on pitches on Grand Staff and piano keyboard. Practice bottom of page 14, page 20, and page15. (Other practice files: page19, page21)
