This book describes curriculum, Applied Music and other information, a gives students and teachers guidelines for levels of Applied Music study.

The $35 Ear Training software MacGamut will be required starting Fall semester and is highly recommended for purchase now.

2 April             Reviewed basics, clapped complex rhythms. NO CLASS MONDAY

17 Mar.           Discussed Final Projects, did melodic dictation.. Homework: finish analysis chap 13, sing #36 (1-14). Have composer picked for Project.

3 Mar.             Did written mid-term today (analysis only), ear training on wed.

27 Feb.           Teacher sick today..

11 Feb.           Ear training portion of quiz 1 on Wednesday. Written quiz makeups in Testing Center.

30 Jan.           Went over homework, analysis of Rondo piece, Debussy, sang sight reading, #28 and chords. Homework: 10.3, sing #32 to double bar.

28 Jan.           Reviewed part writing, discussed chap. 10. Homework: 10.1, 10.2, more if time. Review solfege assignment.

23 Jan.           Did assignment 9.1 in class, clapped Navy rhythms 5-1. Homework: analyze more of 9.1

16 Jan.           Reviewed ear training and chromatic harmony. Homework: Read chap. 9, Sing #28 to 2nd ending.
