General
Information
As a Cool Cat Assistant Professor, I have an AAS Automotive Technology degree from NOVA; a BS Automotive Management degree from Ferris State University in Michigan; and an M.ED. Education degree from Marymount University in Arlington VA.  I was an automotive technician for 4 years and a service manager for 7 years with Toyota and Goodyear.  I have been teaching at NOVA since 1997.  I am an ASE Certified Automobile Technician.

My son, Gryphon,  is currently in his second year of studies of Automotive Technology under my supreme tutelage! Daddy-o! is his favorite word, as well as truck, car and vroom!
His older sister Phoenix is currently in her third year of instruction.  She can check the air in the tires and check the oil level.

Professional
Interests/Projects
I am a NATEF Advisor for NOVA.
I am restoring a 1930 Ford Model “A” Street Rod.

Many thanks to Bob Worden,
without his help my Model A project would not be here today!

Its first burn-out was in September 2007!  The supercharger and posi-trac work great! It put down 43 feet of rubber on the pavement!
The motor started January 2, 2007!
The  frame was powdercoated "Alex the Grape".  The body has experienced extensive metal repairs with the help of the Welding Department.  The motor was freshened in December 2006! The Drive Train has been installed in the Chassis!  Body has been mounted on the frame, and Electrical Wiring completed in September 2006!  The interior has been mocked up and is waiting for electrical connections.
