The directions for your second written assignment, to be completed outside class, are below. Unless otherwise noted in the statements or questions, use complete sentences in your answers. In constructing your sentences, observe all the rules of grammar, usage, and spelling. Please type your assignment, using a twelve-pitch font, and double space the lines so that I can read the sentences easily and have a place to insert comments. Place your full name (normal order), English 139, and Assignment 2 in the upper lefthand corner of the page. The assignment is due at the beginning of class, the date of which is listed on the syllabus. If for some reason you cannot turn the assignment in on that night, you may submit it as a late assignment on the following day of class; however, you will be penalized for tardiness. If you miss the second date, you will have to see me. The assignment is worth twenty points.
