The quizzes for this course will be multiple choice. For you to take the quizzes, you should regularly bring a number two pencil to class. In addition, you should buy approximately six scantrons. (Scantrons are computerized sheets on which you shade in the answers for objective quizzes. They are available in the bookstore.) I will not provide scantrons in the classroom, and you will not be able to take the quiz without one.

If you miss a quiz, either through absence or tardiness, you should first contact me, after which I will place a makeup quiz in room 332, the Testing Center. At the Testing Center, inform the persons working at the desk that you want to take a missed quiz for Robert Brunner's course. You should tell them your name and the name and number of the course, as well as the number of the quiz you missed. Before you report to the Testing Center, please make sure you check on the hours they will administer quizzes, and be sure to take a picture identification card with you. Without the i.d., the testing persons will not administer a quiz to you.

If you miss a quiz, you should take a makeup before the second day's class meets after the quiz was given. That is, for a Monday-Wednesday class, if you missed a quiz on Monday, you should take the makeup before class by the following Monday. For a Tuesday-Thursday class, if you missed a quiz given on Thursday, you should take a makeup before the class that meets the following Thursday. If you fail to take the quiz in this timely fashion, then you will run the risk of receiving a zero on it.
