The peeps were still celebrating the UNC Tar Heel men's basketball championship when they heard it was National Library Week. "Let's go to the library!" they said. |

Once they arrived at the Annandale Campus Library, the peeps were excited to learn about all the fun events that were planned for them. Puzzles, trivia games, and even a contest! |
The peeps checked out some of the book displays. "I didn't know the library had all this great stuff!" |

They found Elizabeth at the Information Desk and asked about looking up some marshmallow resources in ProQuest. She showed them how to limit their search results to Full Text only. |
The peeps learned how to buy a guest card for printing. They paid $1 for the card, and then they added another dollar or two to the card so they could print out their favorite articles. |

Patty was happy to show the peeps how to use the printers at the library. Select your job first; double click the name of your document, then swipe your card! |
Next the peeps learned they could check out a laptop to use in the library, maybe in one of the group study rooms. Kostya was happy to help them get set up to use the library's wireless network. |

That's when the peeps discovered the terrible truth about the library contest - their peep brothers and sisters were smushed into this jar! Students were supposed to guess how many peeps were in there, but the squished peeps did not look very comfortable. Our peep friends were concerned for their well-being. |
The peeps decided to go to the reference section (in the KFs) to find out if they had any legal recourse to end the contest and free their peep brethren. |

Unfortunately for them, the US Code did not have a section on "Peep Rights." It skipped straight from "Pedestrian Walkways" to "Peer Review." "Maybe we'll make it into the next edition," the peeps said. But they were not ready to give up just yet. |
The peeps discovered that Outreach Librarian Bill Fleming was in charge of the contest. After they voiced their concerns, Bill assured them that no peeps were harmed in creating the jar display. He pointed out that they are made of marshmallow, which is very resilient when smushed. He promised they would bounce right back as soon as the contest was over. The peeps were appeased. |

They decided to chill out over by the lava lamp for a while. Watching the bubbles float up and down was very soothing. |
The librarians even had free candy for everyone. "National Library Week is pretty great," said the peeps. "Contest or no contest." |

Before they left, the peeps decided to take the library's survey. They liked having a chance to offer their insights on what makes the library's services so great, and what could be better. "No more smushing us in jars," they suggested. Also, "More free candy!" |
All in all, the peeps really enjoyed exploring the library. They couldn't wait to tell everyone what a great time they had at National Library Week. |
