General Information 32 years of teaching at NVCC; teaches Field Botany at Blandy Experimental Farm (UVA) and conducts tours for Smithsonian Associates Program; maintains NVCC-MA Nature Trail
 
   
 
Professional Interests/Projects  Professional Projects:  Member of Foundation of Flora of Virginia Project Board of Directors, a group spearheading the development of the Flora of Virginia, a manual to identify native and naturalized plants in Virginia.
Professional Groups: Virginia Academy of Science (she is a Fellow of the Academy), Virginia Association for Biological Education, Foundation of the State Arboretum (VA), Virginia Native Plant Society.
Volunteer Activities: Wildflower walks at Great Falls Park, VA, work on Flora of Virginia Project, involvement in projects and activities of professional groups listed above.
Publications and Productions:  Coauthor of a Johns Hopkins Univ. Press book Finding Wildflowers in Washington-Baltimore Area and codeveloper of a video Spring Wildflowers of the Mid-Atlantic Region (winner of a 1998 Telly award)(both available at NVCC-MA Bookstore).  M.
