COURSE DESCRIPTION

 

ESL 006, English as a Second Language: Reading II, is a five-credit intermediate-level ESL course in reading that is designed to help your reading process by building skills in acquiring vocabulary, distinguishing main ideas from details, getting meaning from contexts, making inferences, drawing conclusions, and—in general—increasing your facility and pleasure in reading.

 

PREREQUISITES

 

To be eligible for this class, you must take a placement test and be specifically recommended for ESL 006, or you must have completed the appropriate ESL courses and been recommended by your teachers for ESL 006. You should also be enrolled in ESL 012 unless you have already taken this course.
