Integumentary System Skeletal System Flexion:Movement along the sagittal plane that decreases the angle between two bones Extension: Is reverse of flexion and occurs at the same joints. Flexion: It is a bending movement that will decreases the angle of the joint and brings the articulating bones closer together. Abduction: It is opposite of abduction,  ie moving toward. Flexion: It is a bending movement that decreases the angle of the joint and brings the articulating bones closer together. Circumduction: It is moving a limb to create like a cone in space. Rotation: Circular movement Dorsiflexion: Pointing the toes upward toward the shin. Plantar Flexion: Pointing the toes downward. Pronation: Turning forward likes the palm faces downward. Extension: Straightening  an elbow, flexed neck, body trunk, or knee. Adduction: Moving the limb toward the body midline or like mowing the finger or toes toward the midline of the hand or foot. Protraction: Non angular movement of mandible.
