This Photograph demonstrates the bicornate uterus of the cat. The utuerus arises from the cervix as two horns so that the fetal kittens may lay on each side of the cat's abdomen. The photograph shows the right (left in the photo) horn folded back on its self. The left horn (right in the photo) does the same thing because there are connective tissue attachments to the abdominal wall, but it is not obvious in the photograph. Picture taken by L.
