Summer Semester

Home -- Course Info -- About Instructor -- Grading -- Other Info

Courses taken during the summer semester consist of 16 weeks of instruction--45 to 48 hours--compressed into 6 weeks

This is accomplished by meeting twice a week for a time frame a bit more than three hours per session  Should a person miss a "class" meeting, it is tantamount to missing a whole week of classes in a regular semester.  Missing three such classes is equivalent to being absent 10 hours of instruction and eligibility for an administrative withdrawal from class.  "Known-to-occur" absences caused by appointments, scheduled events, etc. should include Instructor involvement so that proper plans for make-up is facilitated.  Sensory overload can easily occur during the summer session when one is absent from a compressed, 6-week session.  This advisement is universal and applicable to your other courses--not just psychology.
