DESCRIPCION Y OBJETIVOS:
- Comprensión del español hablado
- Practicar el habla española dando énfasis a la corrección en la estructura, la pronunciación, la fluidez y el vocabulario común de cada día.
- Enriquecimiento por medio de videos, cassettes, films (películas) y lectura sobre la cultura hispánica.
ACTIVIDADES EN LA CLASE:
El libro de texto se compone de 14 Unidades. Este semestre estudiaremos de la 1 a la 7.
Cada Unidad empieza con un TEMA y cuatro Secciones que se relacionan entre si:
- Escenas de la vida: narrativa y preguntas
- El español práctico: vocabulario temático para conversar y actividades para desarrollar la expresión oral
- Estructuras gramaticales: practicar las estructuras gramaticales claves
Lecturas literarias: leer a autores hispánicos reconocidos
AUDITORY PRACTICE:
Students are required to listen to audiotapes, in the laboratory (CG 416).
ASISTENCIA A CLASE:
Se require la asistencia diaria porque la práctica oral constituye el 100% de las actividades. Un 20% de las ausencias en la enseñanza asignada en el horario se considera inaceptable, al menos que se haya avisado de antemano. Se usará, pincipalmente, el español. La clase empieza a las 7:30 en punto. Se pasará lista al principio.
TAREA:
La tarea asignada para la clase se hará en casa y se corregirá en clase.

No make-ups on test will be allowed. An excused absence requires documentation (i.e. note from a doctor).
WITHDRAWALS:
Any student who withdraws from class without Withdrawing through A&R will receive a grade of “F”.

Students are expected to follow Information Technology/Patron Ethics Agreement as posted in computer areas and academic integrity standards as set down in Student Handbook. Eating and drinking are not allowed.
