ITN 156 CISCO CCNA 3 Switching and Wireless

Description

This course is the third of four courses in the Cisco Networking Academy curriculum. This course is designed to provide students with experience in switching technology and more advanced router configuration. Upon completion the student will be able to configure switches, design a small LAN, configure EIGRP and OSPF routing, configure virtual LANs on switches, along with trunking lines, and set up basic wireless services.  

This course is conducted in partnership with the Cisco Networking Academy.

After this class you will be able to:

  • Understand and implement classless routing
  • Understand and apply switching concepts
  • Configure Cisco switches
  • Understand and apply basic security settings to switches
  • Understand and implement Spanning Tree protocol
  • Understand and implement Virtual LANs (VLANs)
  • Demonstrate routing with VLANs
  • Describe and use VLAN Trunking Protocol
  • Understand the components and operation of wireless LANs
  • Configure basic wireless LANs
