MTH 163  Precalculus I

Course Information

 

MTH 163 is intended to prepare students for Applied Calculus (MTH 271) the calculus course for business and social science majors and for Statistics MTH 241.  Those students interested in taking Calculus with Analytic Geometry (MTH 173) the calculus course for math, engineering, computer science, etc. majors can take both MTH 163 and MTH 164 or take MTH 166.  Students should note that MTH 164 is not offered at the Loudoun Campus.  In MTH 163 we concentrate on a study of functions and their properties and graphs.  These include linear, polynomial, rational exponential and logarithmic functions.
