Course Information

MTH 152 is a general survey course designed to give liberal arts students exposure to a wide variety of topics in mathematics. Students need a basic grasp of arithmetic and algebra to be successful in this course. The prerequisites are MTH 004 – Algebra II or a qualifying score on the placement test. The topics covered include basic number theory, real number systems, modular arithmetic series, systems such as groups, linear equations, systems of linear equations, linear programming, counting techniques, probability and statistics. | |
