| Hello and welcome to my web page. My name is Kristine Winner and I am the Acting Program Head for Interior Design at NOVA's Loudoun Campus where I have worked since 2000. I teach courses in AutoCAD, drafting, materials and commercial and residential design.
Prior to joining the faculty at NVCC, I practiced interior design in the Washington, DC area, primarily at large architectural firms where I specialized in space planning and programming interior space. During that time, I accumulated a broad range of interior architectural experience including the design, planning and execution of large-scale assignments including government and corporate office, hospitality and historic preservation projects.
I have served on the board of the local chapter of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) for many years as Treasurer, Membership Chair, Educational Forum Director, and now as co-chair of Continuing Education. I also serve as the IIDA liason on the board of the National Council for the Qualification of Lighting Professionals (NCQLP) and on the board of the National Lighting Bureau (NLB).
I have many interests, and one of them, antiques, led me to seek a Master’s degree in the History of Decorative Arts which was awarded by Parson’s School of Design/Smithsonian Associates, in May 2003.
