COURSE OUTLINE:
Anthropology 211 is a survey of the physical and cultural development of humanity since our appearance on earth. We study human and primate biology and evolutionary history and archaeology methods. Human culture is composed of learned behavior that is regulated by race and genetics. The Family of Man consists of all the species of man-extinct and living, and our ancestry stretches back some 5 million years.
