Welcome

Here is a little background about me...

I have been teaching for 12 years in the Communication Design program on the Loudoun campus. I worked as a print and web designer for 6 years before taking a teaching position, that is where I learned all my technical skills since my college days didn’t include much computer use. Since I have a traditional design background I work very hard to instill the principles and foundations of design to my students. My hope is that my students develop their design skills and they work to learn the technical knowledge needed to be a successful designer.

I live in Northern Virginia with my family, we enjoy arts and crafts and bike riding. My daughters keep me very busy, we spend a great deal of our family time on the lake tubing.

My pastime activities include digital design, photography, arts & crafts and running. I'm an avid runner, heading towards completing my twelve marathon this year. I donate my design skills to worthy causes or expanding my love of pop art and abstract art into digital forms.

I hold a BA in Graphic Design and Photography and a MEd in Technology Education, in Web and Multimedia Education. I continue to take courses to update my skills and will some day finish another degree – maybe.

Here I have provide a gallery of work done by my students on the Loudoun Campus – Communication Design program, as well as some of my own work.

Please make sure to check out the information on our program, and contact me if you have any questions.
