ENG 111
This is a three credit course in English Composition which emphasizes grammar, essay writing, and academic research.

ENG 111 Web Course

ENG 112
This composition course emphasizes argumentation, critical thinking, and literature, in addition to college level reading, writing, and research skills.  3 credits

ENG 112  Web Course
This course is delivered on the Web, but does involve a minimum number of classroom meetings.  To succeed in this course, students must be disciplined enough to work on their own and must also be familiar with computers, email and the  World Wide Web.

ELI 
The Extended learning Institute offers transferable college courses in a distance learning format.  I teach three of these courses:  Eng 135 (Applied Grammar), and Eng 243-244 (Survery of English Literature I & II).  Each of these is a three credit course.

2.  Course goals for composition:  college level reading, writing, and research skills.
3.  NVCC is an academic community where all should feel comfort and security.  Please inform your  instructor or his supervisors if anything interferes with this sense of security or with the educational process.
4.  Do not call the instructor to report absences, but do obtain the phone numbers of other members of the class so that you may inquire about missed assignments.
